 Up-and-coming
camera slinger Matthew Clark
hails from the Big Apple.
Though the digital age has
allowed would-be surf
photographers to click away at
random and hope for the best,
Matthew refuses to conform to
this trend. “Rather than
snapping away, I contemplate
the compositions and
anticipate the decisive moment
- that instant everything
works in unity for a second in
time - and capture it.”
Thirsty for viewers to spend
time with his art and observe
what is taking place in the
scene, Matthew's photographs
often include that which you
can only see if you truly
look. He’s set to begin
studies for his Masters of
Fine Art in photography
starting in Fall 2008, and was
recently awarded the
prestigious Follow
the Light Foundation Grant
for 2007. Needless to say, the
future looks bright for this
talented 24-year old lensman.
