Congenial and outgoing, Brian Bielmann has been one of surfing’s most prominent lensmen over the two decades. His tack-sharp images have appeared in almost all the major surf publications, and he has enjoyed considerable success as a fashion photographer. The well-traveled Mr. Bielmann has an artist’s eye for composition and arrangement. Being based on Oahu’s North Shore gives Brian a front row seat to surfing’s equivalent of the Christians (surfers) and the lions (waves) in the Coliseum. His photos often reflect the sometimes cruel beauty of this interaction.
