The
integral nature of surfing and
creativity, for Meegan Feori,
stems from her father, who
introduced her to the ocean,
and her mother, who encouraged
her to create. As surfing
seeped into Meegan’s
soul, her artwork found its
direction. Her figural style
developed through a series of
compromises and has since
become a process of
exploration and refinement.
Surfing and art-making give
Meegan a purpose. Each
challenges her to grow while
also rewarding her for her
efforts.
“I am a
bella niña bruja
ocean-loving dreamer compelled
to create what my heart and
mind envision. While my work
represents surfing, it is not
exclusive to surfing. It
transcends the act of surfing
becoming a visual
representation of human
emotion and
experience.”
