Heather Brown

North Shore-based artist Heather Brown is land-based... barely. She’s worked as a divemaster, boat captain, and aquarium maintenance diver in a life knitted together by an abiding love for the ocean. In fact, this is what drove her to pack up and move to Oahu from Southern California at the turn of the century. She graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii and started painting for a living. Her work is characterized by a very strong color palette and bold strokes.
