• Grant Pecoff Gazing into a Grant Pecoff painting, you are drawn into an atmosphere where vibrant light and electric colors transform the familiar into the extraordinary. How he found his unique style is best described by the man himself: "One day, during an oil painting class at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, we were given an assignment to purposely abstract a favorite photo. My painting was set free! The trees were no longer green - I made them sunburst orange. The lines of the buildings were no longer neat and proportional - I made them curved and dancing. I was overwhelmed with freedom and creativity. The box I was painting in didn't just expand - it vanished!" Since then, Pecoff has travelled the globe, allowing his personal take on the beauty he witnesses to translate itself onto canvas. It’s his purpose to wake the viewer up, to experience the world - outside the box.
