Pink Girl

This is the sister piece to "Green Girl". The waves and the girls are decorative which is how girls and surfing are often portrayed; as objects and tokens. I wanted to recognize this packaging of girls and surfing by creating a visual metaphor to interior design and decoration. Going beyond our objectification I also chose to make the girls more representational and the waves more graphic, to remind the view that the girl riding is more than an object. She is thinking and feeling person.
