Midnight Dream

This piece, like SurfBreak, has a long history and tells many stories in different paintings that lie underneath the final layer of paint of the finished work...all of them entirely different...you can actually see the outline of a surfer on the nose when you look closely at the original. It went through several versions of someone hanging ten at different times of the day with different backgrounds. I almost sold two of the versions along the way and am thankful that I did not, as this finished piece, as different as it is from the earlier versions, has an amazing energy about it. Inspired by the many moonlit nights I have spent on the beach watching perfect waves, along with the amazing surf sessions I've experienced when all the conditions came together. I seem to paint a lot of pieces like Moonlight Paddle, Midnight Barrel, Night Rhythm, that express my love affair with night surfing.

The small prints are digital prints on 100gm archival photo paper. The medium size prints are digital prints on 100gm archival photo paper as well. Canvas Limited Editions are published using the finest archival canvas and inks. All Limited Editions are signed, numbered, and stretched. This is an edition of 395.
