Lance Carson

Lance Carson at Malibu. Lance was well known at this famed spot, and was considered one of the best nose riders at the time. He was able to maneuver the board while on the nose. Most people have to walk to the tail of the board in order to reposition themselves on the wave, but not Lance. Here he is, doing what he did best, riding the nose at Malibu. Taken circa 1962.
