Eire Left

Weight: 2.00

Donegal Bay in Ireland is littered with waves. The thing is that most of them are bone crunchers. Add in drizzly weather, overcast skies, and cold water and you have neither prime shooting conditions or user friendly waves. This day in particular was my last day on my maiden voyage to Eire in 2002. We'd been watching this spot the entire time and only seen it show glimpses of it's potential. Then one afternoon everything came together; eight to ten feet of swell from the right direction, a high tide, offshore winds, and gloomy weather. The best I could do was load my medium format camera with Scala black and white slide film, hide it under my raincoat, find a unique angle on the lineup, and pull it out when the sets detonated on the reef.

Steve's work is available in multiple sizes and mediums. His canvas prints are limited edition of 50, signed and numbered by Steve himself!

Frame prices are based on a 16" X 20" size format. Custom framing options are available.
