~ Demonic Dash ~ Sometimes rides can be hellish. You’re scared shitless, biting your lip, and griping your toes to the board for dear life. And when you finally emerge from Titan’s grip , you’re smiling hard, because the ride was well worth it. This painting started with rhythmic lines of ink on canvas. Layers of watercolor were then added to gain depth and abstract images emerged. Tea bags and wood chips soaked in tea were placed throughout to leave lasting impressions of their shapes. Mixed mediums run together forming the images of demonic faces and creatures, which mirror the title of this work. The surfer’s head is composed of various pictures I took in Canada and have hand sewn together to represent the weaving of one’s many thoughts as they endure the rough ride. This piece was composed using acrylic paint, gold paint pen, photographs, thread, India ink, watercolor, oil paint and turpenoid. 18"H x 24"W Giclee...$250
