The child in this picture represents both my brother and I. We grew up watching our Dad surf and I will always remember staring in awe at his style and grace as he glided in from a great ride. This picture has to do with being proud of our loved one’s talents and what we have learned from them. In the foreground water one can see that I have used the tags of tea bags to leave impressions in the watercolor. The ideas that brew while waiting for my morning tea to steep are influenced by memories. These memories come from the lingering feeling of checking the surf with my dad, tide pooling with my mom, surf trips, having beers at sunset in Baja with friends and family.
