47 Cadillac Woodie

This is a 2003 version of a small illustration I made for “A Separate Line-up” by Drew Kampion, a Don Redondo story appearing in the Apr/May 1977 issue of SURFING magazine. The illustrated excerpt from that story:
... Back in 1955 Lance Carlson, Nickey Doorman, and Judson Veneer, III, were barelling by at a hundred and ten miles-per-hour following up a telephone message that Trestles was twelve-foot and perfect when the oil pump on their ‘47 Cadillac Woodie blew out. Veneer, in an uncharacteristic rage, ripped the oil pump off the engine with his bare hands and ate it.

All of Tom's giclees are printed with archival inks on heavy weight archival watercolor paper. This print is available as an open edition print, as well as a limited edition print of 250 that will be signed by the artist, and numbered. Both are available in 17” X 8-1/4” size format.
