 Now in his late seventies, Bob Phillips has an offbeat background in a field where an offbeat background is the norm. A Purple Heart veteran of the Korean War, former pro baseball player, and yachtsman, Bob’s life experiences inform his artistic expression. He still surfs Huntington Beach, California, two to three mornings a week and paints the rest of the time. “Surfing drives my art, and my art drives my surfing.” Bob’s artwork has found a home in hundreds of private and corporate collections throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, the United Kingdom, Europe, Hawaii, South Africa, and the South Pacific.
